CNA NewsNote December 2, 2011
As the saying goes, you can get smarter or work harder. And even in times when doing both is actually needed, you still have to catch up with current trends and keep your know-how and skills up to date. How can you do that?
Expensive seminars in exotic countries are not always the right choice. Perhaps you should set up an internal program, where employees teach their colleagues in areas of personal expertise. Perhaps you will indeed need to go a seminar. Perhaps you will need someone to come do a short appearing or seminar at your office? Either way now is the time to plan the learning part of the beginning of 2012.
For almost two decades, I myself have been doing different inspirational talks, seminars and workshops around the world on a range of various subjects such as interactive media, creativity and experience design, and I do find that sharing knowledge is gaining knowledge.
Sometimes I too get the possibility of being in the receiving end of these kinds of sessions. If you read this on Friday December 1st, I will most likely be in London, as most of my calendar this Friday is filled with a seminar held by thenetworkone. The seminars are one of the great things about being a member of this global network. And I look forward to sharing the new knowledge in one way or the other.
Have a good Friday and a great weekend.
